We are really chuffed to announce that we are now supporting local equestrian, Ruth Edge, as she attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Ruth trains locally in Heads Nook. Hammersmith-born Ruth has been riding since she could walk and at the age of 31 has already won the British Open title three times, the Luhmuhlen 4 star and was selected as a reserve for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
“I am really grateful to Lloyd Carlisle and MINI for their support,” said Ruth. “It’s tough trying to qualify for an Olympic place and it’s a big help knowing that they are behind me, helping to raise funds and awareness. It’s also fantastic having a brand new car from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There’s a lot of travelling to competitions and promotional events so it’s great being able to arrive there in style.”
